do iRO GMs actively patrol & ban ?

#1 Post by Sasaki Haise »

Guys, i am a returned player on iRO. I have got all my 8 accounts banned in a period of 1 month.

1) Anyone care to enlighten me how is this possible ? What has change & since when?
2) How to avoid ?
3) i am sure i use a decently configured bots. Any pro tips on config?
4) do GM inspect newly made warpportal/ragnarok accounts in first few days or tag them until suspicion cleared?

thanks for helps.

GM patrol based on player reports.
So you want to avoid people first before GM.

1) The only difference from than and now is GM no longer ask before ban.
They stalk you, gathering evidence and then BOOM! No mercy.

2) Botting at isolated area.

3) Just don't do thing that obviously will flag you as bot.
Simply be another person. Imagine if you found your bot. Explain why it's not a bot.
If you can't do that, anyone else can see it's a bot.

4) It's a myth, legends. No one know (unless warpportal staff leak the source).

You can still use all stuff not-to-do in the forum.

1 & 2) I bot at isolated area where no one even go and empty most of time. It is impossible for a GM to casually walk there.

3) i even set my bot to reply 'fck you' if someone ksed.

4) have you got new bot banned in like ~2 days after creation? Is it possible that GMs are detecting IP that used by multiple chararcter actively at the same time then inspect? Like if i run 10 bots (actively farming not afk) under same IP, the GM will get an alarm to inspect for suspicion (cuz normal human cannot actively play 10 chars at simultaneously right?)

I hope u understand my english and what i am trying to say.

Could you help link any protip for better config (although i am sure mine is very decent)

Thanksss

  • If your level isn't appropriate for that map, that's a death flag.
If you run many char on good-for-nothing place and someone came across you, there would be high chance they are reporting you.
Check if that's a hotspot map. Nowadays even hot-spot maps are getting empty due to GM clean up.

  • You shouldn't engage with any people on the first place.

  • Never.

  • Running many client on single IP is a death flag.
Unusual login by single IP with many ID is a death flag too.

  • Anything that you can find in this forum is still useful, Better be safe than sorry. A little paranoid would help. ;)
But be sure not to run 24/7. My best advice is Best place to hide a tree is in the forest
You should blending in, not standing out. Keep this in mind when setting yours.

  • I doubt that ever since I read i even set my bot to reply 'fck you' if someone ksed.

goto Instance map so no one will report you

don't insult with that word

don't be too greedy, don't be lazy, don't be stupid

once , chasing rare stuff, i became lazy and greedy, so i became stupid
i put 12 chars on the same map , with the same setting , with the same class
and after a week
ka-boom
bye bye

You shouldn't engage with any people on the first place.
It is because it is normal average player reaction when someone kill stealling them LOL. It is just as tactic since i myself try to detect a bot by ksing it. So flaming back might give impression you are human.
Running many client on single IP is a death flag.
Unusual login by single IP with many ID is a death flag too.
i think this might be the main cause i got banned. I once read in the WP forum that someone got banned for creating ~21+ new accounts in 1 day and then banned few days after. I think GMs have decent tool to detect suspicious activity now instead before just depend on player report or casual patrol.
