dont think it matters when you have to run 100 bots. =P The bots would still rape the server's resources.

no single computer can run that amount of bots and still function properly... 1 process of Openkore SVN takes about 40 MB of memory and 10~15% cpu power. (This is on my PC, which has a 3 GHz dual core cpu and 2 GB ram). You'd have to use a heavy server to even run half of those bots properly.

Yeah, if you do a lot of work with it, but simply compiling something in no way increases performance. I'd be willing the bet that most of the time compiling something yourself will end up with decreased performance. Especially when it comes to compiling a Linux kernel.

Anyway, Kore has the capability of using a lot less power, it just needs some major work. Obviously performance will be different between single, dual, and quad core processors and differing amounts of RAM. Also whether you're running from the source or using start.exe, or using console versus using a GUI interface. Plugins, macros, lots of skill and item blocks, very large tables, the list goes on. Kore's a heavy chunk of code, but not something that should using that amount of resources. I mean, under all the flair, Kore is just a database that sends data around.

you can get a quad core computer with a shitload of RAM
or better yet dual quad core to get 8 cores :)

lol youre seriously persistent aren't you? why don't you just tell us your specs? oh sleeptime is a good idea but that'd just reduce the effectiveness of the bot, but then again if you have 100 bots i don't think the decrease in performance matters that much.

It just have to do with the archaic AI right? Bar those extra CPU consuming factors such as GUI, macros and plugins.
