Re: avast detects openkore as spyware
It's not. There is a spyware with a start.exe, but OpenKore is not it.
What is it flagging it as?

Oh no.
Re: avast detects openkore as spyware
We had this in the past too with another free Anti-Virus, it was giving false positives on start.exe... which were later resolved, dunno how...
If you downloaded from a trusted location you can be 100% sure it has no malicious code and if you dont trust it you can look in the code and compile it yourself...

Re: avast detects openkore as spyware
my AV NOD32 doesnt warn me about a virus/trojan in start.exe (i dont use it but stilll)
Re: avast detects openkore as spyware
my anti virus doesn't detect anything in openkore either. Try downloading it again from official site.
Re: avast detects openkore as spyware
If it's downloaded from sourceforge.net, then it's most probably a false positive. Try getting a "second opinion" by scanning the file using a different antivirus software.
Whatever...
Re: avast detects openkore as spyware
go trash Avast :p and use Nod32 or better AV out there
