avast detects openkore as spyware

i use avast antivirus. it says start.exe and wxstart.exe is spyware.

i tried deleting and downloading new but it says the same thing. help! i don't wanna be hacked.

It's not. There is a spyware with a start.exe, but OpenKore is not it.

What is it flagging it as?

We had this in the past too with another free Anti-Virus, it was giving false positives on start.exe... which were later resolved, dunno how...
If you downloaded from a trusted location you can be 100% sure it has no malicious code and if you dont trust it you can look in the code and compile it yourself...

i also have the same problems just recently after the automatic updates a while ago

my AV NOD32 doesnt warn me about a virus/trojan in start.exe (i dont use it but stilll)

my anti virus doesn't detect anything in openkore either. Try downloading it again from official site.

If it's downloaded from sourceforge.net, then it's most probably a false positive. Try getting a "second opinion" by scanning the file using a different antivirus software.

go trash Avast :p and use Nod32 or better AV out there
