N> Leveling up my wizard in Greatest General Map.

#1 Post by PurpleHaze »

Hi there, I'm a total noob when it comes to botting but I wanna give this a try and would really appreciate if someone can help me with this.

So, basically I need a config to level up my wizard using cold bolt level 5 on Greatest Generals but the thing is there's poison spores and ninetails that would interrupt the casting of spells or kill the wizard.

Please help me with this? Thank you! :)

Hey, I actually figured this out.

Now the thing is that I've configured it to ignore dokebi in the greatest general map, however, the the wizard will target the monster and then wait for like 10~15 seconds and then drop the target and move on to the next one, and if there's like 3-4 dokebi's in his range then the wizard will do that to all the dokebis, target them and then wait 10~15 seconds and drop their target so it's wasting a lot of time that way. I tried to find out what needs to be changed in the timeouts but I can't seem to cut off that bot wait time after finding target and dropping target of ignored monsters in mon_control. :?

I just attached both the config & timeouts but I do not see it anywhere in my post, do you?
I clicked on browse, selected those files one by one and clicked on "add file". Please let me know if you can see the attachments while I can't or how do I go about doing it? :o

You can just upload it anywhere and share the link here.
Anyway, based on your description I believe your mage try to cast skill but there is no clear Line Of Sight (LOS).
Dropping target after 10-15 seconds is the default settings.

In control/timeouts.txt:

Code: Select all

ai_attack_giveup 12
Default is 12.
If you want, you can change this.

As for your mage cant cast skill, in control/config.txt:

Code: Select all

attackCheckLOS 0
0 is default value, change to 1.

On greatest general maps there are tons f bamboo disturbing the area for ranged attack type.
You might wanna change in attackSkillSlot dist to cast the skill.

As for precaution, you might wanna set runFromTarget in config in case monster suddenly appear for greatest general.
You don't want to run from moving target or it gonna be an endless chase (unless you can 1HitKO).

Piece of advice:
-For every line in config and timeouts, use openkorewiki.com for example of usage, how to use & what does it do.
-For beginner, trial & error is the best learning way.
-Try first, then ask is better. It give you some idea rather than simply ask and then become clueless.
-Use google of forum search for specific line if you wanna see any discussion about it.
-If ever you got a working file from someone, compare those with yours & see what changed and how those line affecting your bot.

Hope that helps.

Good luck.
Feel free to ask if openkorewiki isn't sufficient. 8-)
