You just drop it in your Perl installation's Lib directory, or in OpenKore's src\deps\ directory.

Re: koreSnarl - Snarl notification support (Win32) (8/26/08)
I think theres things missing in your guide Sli, but I think this is a little more forward? If not please tell me im wrong. Im still trying to get it to work..
Install:
1. Download and install Perl (Strawberry Perl 5.8.8). -Done
2. Download and install Cygwin (Make sure Perl is part of it) -Done
3. Download and install Win32::GUI (Which you provided on page 1) by following the README. -Done
---This is the part I get lost at. Install Win32::Snarl how?, and in what file do we change "use Win32::GUI;" to "use Win32::GUI();"
(Confusing part)
4. Download and install Win32::Snarl. Change "use Win32::GUI;" to "use Win32::GUI();" in this module before you restart OpenKore!
---------------
5. Be sure you have a plugins folder. Throw koreSnarl.pl into your plugins folder.

Did you try opening Win32::Snarl in Notepad or something? You don't have to do this step, it just stops a warning from coming up every time you start OpenKore.Woopsie wrote:4. When I download Win32::Snarl its a folder filled with things. It's not just a file. Maybe im downloading something wrong? I used your link and clicked the Download button.
Re: koreSnarl - Snarl notification support (Win32) (8/26/08)
You can install it via CPAN, then just edit Snarl.pm in your Perl's site\Win32\ directory.

Re: koreSnarl - Snarl notification support (Win32) (8/26/08)
can someone help me out when using this plugin? I have downloaded everything perfectly fine, changed all options my thing is when i run openkore i get an error saying that the snarl.pm file cannot be found. I have openkore and strawberry installed on a flash drive (D:\) could this be the problem?
the error says that the file wasnt found because the plugin is looking for the file in the src/deps directory which it obv isnt there because its the the perl folder....help?

i hate to bump this up, but ive officially done everything right and got the win32 gui and win32 snarl in the right place, but now when the plugin loads it gets the the loading koresnarl.pl and gives me a critical error.........im super stuck here, anyone have this working as of today?? this would be a lifesaver of a plugin if it worked
