successfully run the extractor.exe but it comes and some letters or numbers comes up and it closes. how can i save it? it closes as soon as I opened it. please help me.

I also tried using JCV's RO Tools and it said that the .exe might be protected. Any ideas?

I got exactly the same.

The usual methods didn't worked for me in order to find recvpackets.

Could you give me the packets for this .exe and this one or explain me how to do it myself ?

just download the Packet Extractor v3.zip and follow the instructions:

1) Copy target .exe file to the same folder where packet_extract.pl is placed.
2) Run packet_extract.bat to save extracted packets to text file.

I can't get this (or any other tool for that matter) to extract the packet lengths for a private server a friend of mine is running. I keep getting a "Search for Packet Len Map Failed!" message. The executable I'm attempting to get it from is here.

Im trying to get the recvpackets.txt for this exe http://speedy.sh/tD4r3/Seiretei.exe.

I followed the steps the on the first post and the recvpackets that i generated is empty, literally empty.

I also tried using RO tools, and it says that "the exe is compressed or protected".

Now, im thinking of a way of uncompressing, or removing the protection of the exe, but i dont know where to start. I read in this topic that i need to do memory dumping (or whatever that is) but the problem is, i dont know anything about that. If anyone could help me or teach me how get the recvpackets of the linked exe above, i would be so happy.

If the file size is more than 6 MB, it is not possible to extract recvpackets! (see)
