Depreciating serverType

#1 Post by Cozzie »

There are currently way too many serverType that is not used at all. Should it be depreciated and renumber them so people dont get confused easily?

He said depreciate, not remove. We could always provide legacy serverTypes (like, say, L_1, L_2, etc) that just don't come with OpenKore unless Gravity starts using that serverType again. Just a thought.

Yeah that's what I meant sli, also I remember somewhat there was a serverType chooser based on the master/version number, where is that.

It's not like you actually can delete files from subversion without dumping, hacking and restoring a repository which we probably can't on sourceforge.. (and wouldn't make any sense either)

What I want to say is: What the hell do we have a Version Control System for? .. exactly for "problems" like this. Even if we delete them, you could still make a tag before doing that and if you forget to do it.. you can still search it in the history assuming you actually wrote commit log for it.
You can't make people smarter. You can expose them to information, but your responsibility stops there.
