Use TortoiseSVN.
Search on google for the website, I think there might be some guide and tutorials there.

Btw, we should make a guide to new users on how to diff, apply patches and how to update using tortoise(I know that we can use the new auto-update but there is a lot of reports from users saying that it's slow).
Quit.

There used to be such a guide, but it's gone now.

On the other hand there are a lot of sites that give detailed information on how to apply patches.
Got your topic trashed by a mod?

Trashing topics is one click, and moving a topic to its proper forum is a lot harder. You expend the least effort in deciding where to post, mods expend the least effort by trashing.

Have a nice day.
