So so, openkore will be back with new AI2008?
Good news.
What about decisions for leadership? Any progress?
Reading these posts, I'm feeling there are people who are motivated (and would motivated others)

to participate and to be aware of the bugs...
yeah, i know we're not all freaky coders..
but how would we decrease OK's problems...
nurse all the noobs that come (like me)
or i dont know...
(equivalent exchange? 10 post before you can DL openkore XD SPAM)

i haven't seen openkore's irc alive, for me

i want to be a SPAM GENERATOR!

WE should have a POLL at the board INDEX
NEXT DICTATOR OF OPENKORE LIES ON YOUR CLICK

edited: it's at the board index already...XD but i want it to be a poll or something clicky
like... you can't view the forums unless you've had voted once... something like that ..

I stumbled upon this article that you guys might want to read to help clarify what we're looking for in a person(s) to lead the project:
How to be a program manager

Just a snippet from the article.
Quote:
One of the best things a program manager can add to the software design process is a second opinion as to how things should be designed, hopefully one that is more empathetic to those RETARDED USERS with their pesky mental feebleness requiring that an application be usable without reading the man page, writing a custom emacs-lisp function, or translating numbers into octal in your head.

A good program manager will come with her own ideas for how the UI should work, which might be better, or worse, than the developer’s idea. And then there’s a long debate. Typically, the program manager wants something simple and easy to understand for the users, featuring a telepathic user interface and a 30" screen that nonetheless fits in your pocket, while the developer wants something that is trivial to implement in code, with a command-line interface (“what’s so unusable about that?”) and Python bindings.

I can sum up a great example in three words: OpenKore's error reporting.

So ya... looks like the activity on this topic is slowing down to crawl again.. So shall we get some sort of major consensus on the leadership of the Openkore project? The sooner we elect someone, the sooner we'll have someone hopefully to start pushing the project forward again.

So. Just make a Voting Pool, so everybody can choose.

So...it looks like we lost one candidate...

Alrite, I'll setup a poll once after I get a little brief summary from everyone who's interested in the position. The summary should discuss:

  • Why you want the position?
  • What characteristics do you have that would make you a good candidate for the position?
  • What would be your future direction and plans for the Openkore project?
  • Any experience/level of knowledge about Openkore?
  • Any experience/level of knowledge about project management?

Anything else, anyone want to add to the list?
