Hey, this is for sli if you read this. I was just wondering, how did you become such a good programmer? Thanks

I also emphasized better overall standards when it comes to language design (sorry Perl and C++, you lose, but D wins, and Java's too little too late) and correct programming paradigms. I steer clear of extreme programming at all costs and always create code that is not write-only. I take it upon myself to seek and aid beginning programmers that harbor a true desire to become successful in their programming aspirations, a quality that is quickly discernible from common fleeting interest. I bring them the ins and outs, the quirky idioms and the best practices. I practice what I preach and I am strong in my convictions on what is the Right Way(TM) and the Wrong Way(TM). My programming and "code design" style has changed very much over the past ten years and continues to do so.
And most importantly, I don't water it down by getting a CS degree, instead keeping it as a solid hobby that will now never lose its appeal. But that's a personal choice.
I'm also a tad long winded from time to time.

Also, listen to breakbeats. All great programmers/hackers listen to electronic music.
