Hey guys im new to the board.

I have been trying to get this to work now for about 9 hours /lol and i am really stuck on this, I was really trying to figure it out for myself but I am stuck -_-;

SO, as per the title of my post, the server i am trying to bot is Lightside/legend RO.
I have been trying to follow http://www.openkore.com/index.php/Connectivity_Guide
which then led me to http://www.openkore.com/index.php/Connectivity_Guide
however, none of those programs worked. So i dug around and found this;
Now correct me if I am wrong but that should be most, if not ALL of the required information.

So this is where im stuck, because when i try to run the bot it says "unable to open file"

I am really unsure of what to do, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

While i wait I'll keep trying though.

Current versions should always specify the file name with that. Which revision? Post log of openkore output.

Hey, thank you very much for your repy. This problem has been driving me INSANE for the past few days.

Sorry for not being specific enough. The error I am getting is
"unable to open file items.txt"

I am unsure of where to find the openkore output log. It doesn't seem like there is a log for errors or anything like that.
An error log with designated error codes would greatly help future users and developers in the future.

hrmm it is interesting that you were unable to sniff anything but the server detail in the xml is not obfuscated. Do update us if the server info is correct.

It is still not working, I will try to replace the tables folder and start from the beginning.

BTW this may be useful to others who cannot get the listed sniffers and server information extraction methods listed on this site to work.

I know that all the server information I got is right becuase it was extracted directly from my Lightside/Legend Ragnarok folder.

Hint: Download it to your Ragnarok Directory!

1. Open GRF Factory: then press the "OPEN" button.


2: Now navigate to your ragnarok Directory and choose the file "data.grf" then press the OPEN button.


3: Once you press OPEN it should look like the following.... WAIT for it to load all the files.


4: Now type "*.xml" where it originally said "*.*" then press the FILTER button.


5: It should look like this once done. Now highlight "clientinfo.xml". Press EXTRACT button. Then CLOSE Grf Factory.


6: Now open Explorer or Internet Explorer and open your Ragnarok Directory. Now Open the "data" folder.


7: Open the file "clientinfo.xml" with either Internet Explorer or Notepad etc...


8: If u did everything as i said... you should see the below.... If u see it then there is all the info u need to connect your bot to your server. Also you will notice "AID" below it.... these are Ragnarok GM AID's hehehe Use these in your ./tables/aids.txt and in your ./control/gid_control.txt to help avoid those nasty GMs and save your account from getting banned.


If you still cant figure out what your doing wrong then you should not be botting in the first place. As this is something even the worst botter should be able to figure out... i mean come on theres pictures that are step by step !!!
