How do I make my character follow my party?

I have a thief and a swordsman and I want the swordsman to follow my thief and attack after my thief attacks it first. I have tried and I failed at the config. If anyone is willing to help me, it is highly appreciated.

Hi, sometimes my character will die while training on a map and I thought it automatically walks back to that map it dies in. How come mine does not? I will be training at Payon Cave and I saved my spot in Payon but when I die he does not walk back to Payon Cave.
