[Survey] Which version of OpenKore are you using?

#1 Post by Technology »

To provide better service we want to know which version of OpenKore you are using and why.

Please do not hesitate to support your choice by answering some of the questions:
- why are you using that particular version?
- have you experienced problems with any version and which kind of problems?
- if you are using the svn version are you using the built-in svn updater, tortoise or other svn program?
- if you are using the svn version then what revision are you using?
- ...

Of course you are free to motivate your choice with your own reasons.
Note, this is a survey, asking for support and posting irrelevant information here will result in your post getting deleted.

Thanks for your time! ;)

SVN version at rev 6918(lastest one).
I'm using it because I like to be able to test/use new stuffs added by our developers, it might be bugged, but if nobody track the bugs how are they going to be fixed, right?
Everyday I check in TortoiseSVN if new updates have been made and update it as soon as possible. I really really really like using TortoiseSVN instanted of the new auto-updater because when I tried to use it, it was very slow and I couldn't see what files were updated. Plus, with TortoiseSVN you can create diffs/patches, so if you coded something new or fixed a bug, you could show it. You can also update to any rev you want and get any plugins or files that is on svn,

I don't remember having problems with any versions, probably because i'm not an old user and things didn't change very much.

That's it :D

always latest SVN version, same reason like Mushroom.

Using r6821 in a place which just needs to be working without constant supervision. Used r6625 before that, until it stopped working on certain server.

Latest svn when I need to test something. Tortoise when on Windows.

[stirke]Voted for release 2.0.7 (not updated using svn updater)[/strike]

Im actually using 1.6.9(yea i know it's ancient), 2.0.5.1. But im currently trying to work out my old stuff to work with 2.0.7. So yea i'll be using the latest soon.

Downloaded openkore_ready instead. Changed vote to SVN latest revision.

SVN is the way to go. ;)
By the way, the forums has changed quite a lot. I had to go through a mess to get that old config manual. Kind of hate the new one, no offense to whoever is working on it. Here's the old manual http://hakore.bot.nu/openkore/manual/
If that's okay with Hakore, if not please remove the link.
