[Help] Where do I start if I want to contribute to the project?

Hi all,

I'd like to contribute to the project but would love to get you guys' advices on how best to get started. I've been looking for developer manual but couldn't find one. Maybe I'm missing something here. Is the only way to get started is to study from the code base directly? Is there a documentation I can read?
