OpenKore's new Drupal main site

#1 Post by Technology »

As you all might know, the old main site has deceased and our beloved manual died with it. (1 minute silence)
But the mourning has taken long enough, get yourself together, get over it! :P

Now is the time for something completely new.
I hereby present you: kLabMouse's Drupal site for OpenKore
Drupal is a CMS (Content Managing System), this means that everyone (even without technical knowledge) can publish content on it.

This new site contains all the features that we are currently using and more:
- this forum
- the manual
- a bugtracker
- a repository browser
- the svn logs
- instant translation
- and many more ...

Everything is integrated into 1 website, meaning you only need 1 account.
All you need is literally available to you by a single click of your mouse!

All that is left is moving the site.
But no worries, since Bibian and kLabMouse will arrange that for us soon right? ;)

Speak up here or be silenced forever.
One ST0 to rule them all? One PE viewer to find them!
One ST_kRO to bring them all and in the darkness bind them...

Mount Doom awaits us, fellowship of OpenKore!

I'm currently working on Wisiwig editors.
Also, there will be a system when Developer add to commit message something like "Fix issue #nnnnnn" that will auto close currently open Issue.

Currently Forum integration not working on test3 site.
But, it's planned to be enabled upon transferring to our servers.

Bot.. there is one big Issue: Bibian don't what to transfer it here, and Even don't what to patch our Forum so users can use only one account for both sites.

This is more for the developers, but has any thought been given to a continuous integration server (like hudson, or cruise control, or atlassian bamboo)? It will encourage better code in a way.

Finally settled down on my end, but I still won't be around much.

OpenKore Template Theme Updated. Feel free to comment. Changes will be made upon valid suggestions.

I'm still currently going through the old manual and updating them before I post them as a book (a.k.a. wiki manual) on the new site. It'll be great to have someone with a good technical English writing skills to help out. If you think you're one, give me a hollar over PM.

Font's too large. Tab's Displayed as buttons.
No normal Primary/Secondary Links.
Navigation bar seem's no good with dark font's.

P.S. CSS Styles seem to be bugged, etc.
I think, "garland" look's better.

The "artiseer" tool is for simple users. better use something better (like DreamViewer or something more low level).

Sure, I'll turn down the font for the youngsters.
I agree on the navigation bar font colours, but I'm still playing around with the colours at the moment.
I'll add these changes in the next update, gotta go soon though.

Why do you say no normal Primary/Secondary Links? I thought it would make sense to have one at the top and also the left panel.

Exactly to why I used Artiseer because it's simple to use to get a rough template done. I can always get the minor details done with Dreamweaver. I don't want to use Garland but I can tailor it to look like it.
