That's still a lot of text though. Any ideas, opinions?

Well. First of all. on 2.1 Release we will split 2.1 branch *stable, and trunk.
So trunk can break from time to time, and can even break backward compatibility.

So binding to 'trunk' is not a good solution.

IMO, having the error message and it's possible cause are essentials, the rest the user can find and should look on the wiki and the forums.
