Your mon_control.txt is perfectly fine dude.
The lines starting with # don't affect on how your bot works.
The names of monsters listed over there are only either non-moving/non-exp-giving/MVPs...

So neither of them are there in novice training grounds.
Probably the only reason I find is he is 90% overweight.
But if you are saying he keeps looting items, I can't think of a reason.

If possible, please upload a RAR file of your complete "control" folder and then I could run it n see what's missing...

I mean, ZIP it.
WinZIP is Windows inbuilt function to compress a folder into a file which can be directly uploaded, u know that right?
WinRAR is just another software to do that. Zip it and upload as one file.
Right click on CONTROL folder and you should see the option to compress it.

I am actually having this same problem.

I can log in just fine, and I downloaded your version of the config.txt you uploaded but still nothing. However, the mobs in culvert are registering as unknowns and I'm not sure if that has something to do with it.

Any ideas?

exactly the same problem. i'm pretty certain its because they are listed as unknown is why our bots are not attacking.
