Kore-Ro v2 opens today (testing stage).

Get Renewal Client: http://ragray.net/
Get modified exe, data.grf and data.ini: http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=9cc9 ... c19e6628dc

Some @commands are enabled, some of them will be removed as we leave the testing stage.
Use @commands to show them.

Currently there isn't a controlpanel yet but you can register in client. Just use your loginname and append _M/_F /male/female)
Example: myuser_M will be loginname myuser and male

Current rates are 5/5/5. They will probably be changed after testing.

There aren't any special things added yet as I haven't had much time (will change).

Greetings,
Scarya

Thanks for bringing back the server alive.

I've been botting for a few days, yet to overcome any bugs (guess it's just not populated to find one easily).
Some of the built in commands I think should be removed when it goes offical such as @warp (Scarya said it's definitely going to be) and @autoloot

Previous Kore died due to lack of funds to support the server to continue running, because you can just get what you want from botting, and like others said, lack of community. After seeing some of the ideas from previous replies, I think what should and should NOT be in the server comes below the list.

Should have:
1)Bots allowed (duh?)
2)Advantage for client users (non-botters)
3)KS penalty: I've been to some servers that has @noks command available (even though some are poorly designed to have them even work on minibosses and MVPs), this also gives an advantage to client users so the bot won't be able to kill steal the monster you're dealing with. minibosses and MVPs should be free for all.(meaning the @noks command should not have effect on specific monsters)
4)Time to time events: it could be periodical(built-in events like the ones from LuminaRO) or non-periodical(Event Hosts)
5)Corruption free server: Game Moderators and Server owners should NOT have a legit.
6)Donation items: it's good to see some rewards pay off after supporting the server funds to keep it working.
7)Platiam skill NPCs: yeah people get lazy even when they can just bot it off, but since the private servers have gotten so...lazy(?) almost every other server you see has one of these, I guess it's to prevent dummies from not getting their skills?

Should NOT have:
1)Bots in WoE grounds: maybe some program that disconnects bots that tries to walk into castles?
2)Bot function to teleport without SP: honestly, if you enable this, snipers are just loot/exp whores, pretty damn imbalanced in my opinion
3)Stat-reset NPC: Seriously? It's a bottable server and you still want stat resets?
4)Imbalanced donation items: uh, +5 all stats, come on, that's broken...be more realistic with the donation items.

Discussions that I think should be considered:
1)Dungeon warper:
a)on the bright side, this makes everyone able to go to any dungeon, (fair competition for those that aren't familiar with the quests)
b)probably going to make botting too easy?
2)Healer NPC:
a)on the bright side, saves time from people going to inns and spend 5k replenishing life and mana
b)this is just going to make asura champs come back and forth from hunting grounds, free sp, so why not?
c)should there be a price on this, honestly, if there should, it's probably going to be less than 5k, then again, you can just save at an inn to do so.
3)Skill-reset NPC: it's different from stats, but should it exist as well?
a)people can try out different skills with the same character without worrying about having useless or wrong skills
b)imbalanced? maybe if you can change skills over and over again for grinding purpose.
4)Vending: @autotrade, should this be enabled? and if so, should it take up IP slots?
a)taking up IP slots, you sacrifice 1 of your botting slots to vend stuff....people might not even care to take a look
b)not taking up IP slots, this could actually make people want to vend in towns since it doesn't take up IP slots. You can have 2 bots running while having merchants vend in towns. If this is the case, people might be more willing to vend?
5)Server rates: mid-low rate of 10-25?
6)Drop rate: maybe less than 10? or around 5? should MvP drop rates be lowered?

aussome ideas !

4)Time to time events: agreed
6)Donation items: I think allowing extra account logging from same IP for a monthly fee idea suggested by someone is good donation reward.
7)Platiam skill NPCs: should make this single NPC catering all jobs, but requires more hard to get materials for the skills. unbottable items that need team work? sonic accelaration is quite OP.

Should NOT have:
2)Bot function to teleport without SP: i guess logical
4)Imbalanced donation items: no comment, but server have to do what it takes for fund.

Discussions that I think should be considered:
1)Dungeon warper: having these makes ppl stay at main town (socialism?, not saving at botmap), but also makes botting too easy.
2)Healer NPC: healing charged accordance to max hp/sp? (hp+sp)/2 = zeny amt?
3)Skill-reset NPC: donation benefit?
4)Vending: @autotrade is a must !
6)Drop rate: x3 or x5 at most, maybe some custom benefit x10 for manualing if possible?

Excellent Ideas, I actually agreed on this..

6)Donation items: it's good to see some rewards pay off after supporting the server funds to keep it working.
7)Platinum skill NPCs: yeah people get lazy even when they can just bot it off, but since the private servers have gotten so...lazy(?) almost every other server you see has one of these, I guess it's to prevent dummies from not getting their skills?
I would like to add some things on Platinum skills and Job Changer NPC.

Platinum Skills and Job Changer NPC:
If the player preferred to use the NPC, there will be a certain fee like:
First job - 100K zeny
Second - 500K zeny
Rebirth - 1M zeny
Advance - 5M zeny
3rd JOB (if implemented) - 10M zeny

Platinum Skills - 10M zeny

But if the player will change job using the job quest or the old way of changing job and getting the platinum skills by doing the quest, there will be reward like BM, Bubble Gum, Coin, etc.
4)Time to time events: agreed
6)Donation items: I think allowing extra account logging from same IP for a monthly fee idea suggested by someone is good donation reward.
7)Platinum skill NPCs: should make this single NPC catering all jobs, but requires more hard to get materials for the skills. unbottable items that need team work? sonic accelaration is quite OP.
Don't Forget to add the PvP ladder (on customized PvP room) and GOTM :D

Code: Select all

Should NOT have:
1)Bots in WoE grounds: maybe some program that disconnects bots that tries to walk into castles?
2)Bot function to teleport without SP: i guess logical
4)Imbalanced donation items: no comment, but server have to do what it takes for fund.
4)Stat-reset NPC: Seriously? It's a bottable server and you still want stat resets?
Agree, but the stat and skills resets can be implemented too, with some fees or quest maybe :D
4)Vending: @autotrade is a must !
Agree, but on the healer NPC, you can give certain zeny amounts and/or items for healing/buffing.
Rates x3 or x5 are a bit low.. players now a days are quite lazy for leveling even they bot, they will think like its better to play in official free server with the same rates which is also bottable. I think making the server mid-low rate are just fine like 20/20/10 or something like that (MvP/Mini Boss drops to 1)
