Hi all,
N00b here. I've been having a strange issue since Renewal hit iRO and I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing this issue or knew a solution to it.
Since Renewal, if I set Openkore to XKore the following happens.
Upon launch Openkore goes through it's normal functions. After it loads everything, I get the message "X-Kore mode initialized" followed by "Please start the Ragnarok Online client (RagnarokFree.exe)" (Basically... Everything it is supposed to do... Since I used to run Openkore in XKore mode pre-Renewal).
After I launch the Valkyrie server (RagnarokFree.exe) the Openkore window will reply back with "Ragnarok Online client found" and then "Waiting for the Ragnarok Online client to connect to X-Kore...", however, the downloader for Ragnarok will error out and send the message "RagnarokFree.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience"...
At this point, if I click "Don't Send" for the error report, the RO Downloader will close out. Even if I restart it, Openkore will no longer respond unless I close it out and restart it (which, will result in another error from the downloader client. I can choose to ignore the error message and hit "Start" on the downloader and it will open the log in screen for RO, but Openkore will not recognize it.
This issue happens consistently and after searching high and low on the boards, I have yet to find a fix for this... Can anyone offer some insight on what may be causing it and perhaps a solution to the issue?
Thank you,
Anon

This happens to me too. Could it be a Gameguard or some kind of security thing?

Re: XKore issues post Renewal
try this
proxy mode works for me
config.txt
XKore proxy
XKore_silent 1
XKore_bypassBotDetection 1
XKore_exeName RagFree.exe
# XKore 1 / Proxy configuration
XKore_listenIp 127.0.0.1
XKore_listenPort 6901
XKore_publicIp 127.0.0.1
(basically just edit clientinfo's in your grf)
rename your old data folder in ro folder to old-data
use grf factory and openup fdata.grf (for valkyrie) or ydata(for ymir)
extract all. all those file will be in data folder.
In data folder find and edit, all those related to whatever-clientinfo.xml
change ip and port to 127.0.0.1 and 6901
rename your fdata or ydata which ever u use to old-fdata.grf or old-ydata.grf(which ever u use)
reopen grf factory add your data folder then repack as fdata.grf or ydata.grf (which ever you use)
then dont forget to delete data folder and rename old-data folder back to data.
I am still using this method and all my update ran over it.
I guess I have to ai off/manual all the time when I want to manually play.
