Switch from bow to dagger during combat?

Hi, this is my first post - hopefully this question won't annoy you guys lol.

Basically, I have a rogue and want to attack monsters with a bow when they are at a distance, and when they come close - I want it to switch to my dagger to finish the fight. Hope this makes sense. Is this possible? I did have a try, but it didn't do what I wanted at all.

Anyway, thanks for any help you guys can give me. I did check the board first and couldn't find what I wanted.
