Requst: Unpacked RAGEXE and Hex Codes [New Chaos]

Hi... matagal na po ako nag hihintay ng updates regarding this pero it seems wala yata nag wowork para dito.
Last client updated was Oct 28, 2011.

Maraming tutorials on how to unpack client and how to trace hex codes manually.
I have tried the tutorials present on this board but unfortunately... its not working for me.

Sana may mag post ulit ng updated unpacked client as of Port Malaya Patch and Hex Codes as well. Thank You.

You can try to use the one for New Iris. Just rename it.

hi noobotter, just a quick question, can i rename New Iris in the title window back to Ragnarok name, since i have some stuffs that need the Ragnarok title for it to be detected. I mean if i rename it, will it still be usable? Thanks!

When you rename "newirisexe" to "Ragexe" and click the ragnarok application , it will load that renamed client and display "New Chaos" server. Better to make a back up of both newirisexe and Ragexe so if something comes up , your ready with a back up so you won't need any re-installation

hi kamirie, yep i already did rename newiris.exe with ragexe.exe but my problem isnt the renaming stuff, what i meant was the actual window (dont use full screen mode to see my point and look at the upper left part of the RO window) is still named New Iris. Now, what I want to happen is, that instead of New Iris to be shown at the said location, I want it to be renamed Ragnarok. Because I am trying to test some stuffs that needs the text Ragnarok(instead of the new iris) in the upper left part of the window for it to be activated. I have heard that I will need to be hexing the client name using a hex editor, but before doing so, I would like to ask the creator, if i change the title window, i just hope it will not have any side effect in the hexed ragexe.exe/newiris.exe or if better that the creator has also a disabled gg hexed ragexe for New Chaos and Ragnarok is still the title of the window, that would be great.

Ah . we'll i think you can try to hex it for the name , as long as you don't change any values that will affect other stuff other than that name , the client will be ok. Always make a backup of the file though.

That's right. You can just rename the application name using the hex editor.
Search "New Iris" and make it "Ragnarok" if you want.
Though the application name should also be 8 letters/symbols since there's not enough space for more letters.

Thanks for the reply guys, I did rename it back to Ragnarok, and there were no issues.

I know this is a little bit out of the topic but, i have tested the rPE Auto Skill Spam filters but it doesnt work anymore, eventough the GameGuard is disabled. I thougt at first the "New Iris" window was the problem. Anyways thanks once again!

can someone please post the clean unpacked exe.
i'll do the hexing on my own. my stripperX doesn't work on my PC.

Actually, even though you unpacked the client using stripperX, the IAT of the client is messed up so it'll be hard to trace the strings using WDASM893.
By the way, it'll be best to use stripperX on WinXP OS.
