Can GMs use pet message?

Do you guys know if GM can use the pet message as a way to check players, just like pm, public message or system chat? This sound kinda weird, but it recently came into mind and I'm not much familiar with GMs commands.

I think it's possible. There is a command to make the pet talk, i think it's @pettalk or something similar.
