Questions about IP Banning

How does IP Banning work?
How can I avoid getting IP Banned?
Does IP ban only occur if you use two or more bots at the same time?(ex; Killer+Support bot party)

I only use 1 bot on one account and I usually don't let him run for too many hours. If he gets banned does he risk getting my other accounts (which I dont use to bot) banned?


P.S. I kind of felt like this should be put under Discussions rather than just iRo because it does apply to every botter. However, I didn't want to post it and have it trashed because it was a question. This could be pretty useful for alot of people. This topic would probably also get a lot more feedback if it were exposed to the whole OpenKore community and not just the iRO community. If a moderator could look at this and maybe give me the all clear to post it under "Discussions" that would be great.

I really don't think Gravity IP bans. I've been banned with 10 clients opened but only one character was banned that was caught but then I got banned another time and they banned all my connected accounts even if they weren't all botting.

Well two people I know were IP banned. All their accounts. I know for a fact that they use the killer+support party method so I'm wondering if thats why they lost all they accounts. Or do the GM find one botter and look up all his other accounts because of the IP?

I've botted since open beta something like 7 years ago? They don't IP ban no matter what ANYONE says. I've run from 1 bot to 20 at the same time. I've had 3/10 bots banned all in the same party to 10/10 banned. Don't worry about it and just bot safe!

Were they linked on Warp Portal or did they have their own accounts? Because IP Ban and WP linked account bans may appear similar.

This was a year before WP. Idt you should connect botting accounts.

i was ip banned twice.....

its is like..

1st time u get caught - all chrcs online from ur ip wil b banned.
2nd time- all chrcs from ur ip get banned even if the chrc is offline+ ip ban(released after 4months)
3rd time-all chrcs from ur ip get banned even if the chrc is offline
4th time- all chrcs from ur ip get banned even if the chrc is offline+ ip ban.

recently i was banned for 5th time...


NOTE: they wont ban until ..any of ur chrc reaches 90+...
they will be watching u constantly if u get caught once...
