Need Help on Learning Macro..

Newbie here and I'm having some difficulty with the warp macro that I'm creating. What I want is a simple way to tell my SLAVE to open a warp portal and then let the slave command the MASTER to enter the WARP, or make my main char. (MASTER) to be able to detect the opened WARP portal and then enter by itself.
I'm about to give up, so just to see if there's still some hope. My question is, Is it possible to make this kind of macro with just Regexp and simple macro syntax(without the subroutines)?Also, I can't find some articles related to PERL subroutines by myself, and even if I see one, I don't think I would be able to fully understand it without any help from someone with experience. I would be glad if somebody could help me by just sharing some links as recommendable reading materials for Perl Sub and those Eval things
