Question about how the GameGuard works

#1 Post by kzaar »

Hello, i use bRo and today i disabled guameguard from it (Ragexe) but when i try to login nothing happens, the login/pss window disappears and it gets stucked in the background with the music playing, i can just press ESC and exit game.

So, my question is: Ragexe with GG just try to prevent being opened and logged wo GG or RO's server receive some kind of feedback of GG to check status to prevent login wo it?

I'm sorry if i posted it in the wrong place. i had doubts about it.

Thanks..

GG is kind of "HandShake" protection.
Even if Successfully login to Map. You have a big Chance to be kicked off. Because you did not Rely to "Handshake" properly.

There's one more thing about Gameguard in bRO: this "handshake" is requested again every 5min, and just like kLabMouse said, if you don't reply it you'll be kicked. A few years ago it was only requested during "send password", but they changed it and that's why people suffer from low stability with Poseidon nowadays.
