How to secure WebMonitor plugin

I found that WebMonitor plugin is awesome though it's not complete.
The only concern for the plugin is security.
If hackers know your IP and Port that you run the plugin, they can hack your accounts or even worse.

Is there a way to add some security to it? Or make it harder to found by hackers.
The ideal way is adding user authentication but it wouldn't be possible now as the plugin developer had abandoned it D:

I also tried using .htaccess and .htpasswd method but no avail.
