iRO and kore problem, pls help

#1 Post by korediba »

Before anything im new to the forum so i don't know if this is in the wrong section, if it is sorry

I used to play iRO a lot until about 2 or 3 days ago I started having a problem. There are aspects of my problem that I know many other people had before. I've been searching solutions for 2 days straight and I can't find a solution. So I came here to see if someone here can help me.

Here's the whole problem:

1- Ragnarok is updated and working perfectly until February 04. I'm using kore for about 2 weeks and didn't had any problem.
2- Suddenly, on Feb 04, when I try opening my bot routine as usual the bots does not start. This message shows up in red on openkore: Time run out on Character server, reconnecting..., and then "disconnecting". This isn't the exact same message, my openkore is in portuguese, and this is the translation, but it's possible it's not the exact same words in english, but it's the idea.
3- Apparently this could be a problem with openkore itself (as I searched on the web, i found many people with the same problem, BUT they never mentioned problems with Ragnarok, only openkore, thus my problem differs here) and so I try opening iRO client normally, through the desktop, right-click admin rights.... the client opens, I log in, the game starts and then 3 seconds after it started the game "stops", meaning the connection breaks and a little while after the client shows this message "Disconnected from the server", and then it goes back to log in screen. I try to log in and it says "Disconnected from server". If I close the client and re-open, it logs in but like before it disconnects as soon the game starts. I also found a lot of people with the same problem, but again my problem differs from them. And I myself had the same Disconnecting problem with bRO (Brazilian Ragnarok Official server).
4- As the first recommendation when it comes to malfunctioning programs is to re-install the program, I uninstall iRO, go to C:\Program Files (x86)\ (I'm using windows7) and delete Gravity folder, thus eliminating Ragnarok from my PC. And then I Install the game again. The installation finishes, i right-click the icon, open as administrator, the client opens, the update starts and then.... I start getting a new error. Right on the first archive, the update stops and it says "Fail to download the file". And again, I know many people had the same problem before, just like i myself had with bRO. Since the auto update fails I try to manually update it. But here 2 things can happen: If I go to Gravity/Ragnarok Online/ and either delete or edit the patch.inf file and then re-open the client the update this time doesn't even start, as if the game is already updated. The same happens if I copy/paste the update files I manually downloaded on Gravity/Ragnarok Online. The client opens, the update is done, I log in the game and again the "diconnected from server" happens. Now it's when things start to get interesting:
5- I consider that the "Disconnected from server" problem isn't really related with the client, and that the problem is somewhere else. The game was running fine until 3 days ago, and then suddenly starts disconnecting, same with the bot. So I try using a proxy (Hotspot Shield on this case) and then opening iRO and guess what, it works now. A bit laggy because of the proxy, but no "Disconnected from server". It also works if I delete the patch.inf or if I copy/paste the manual update files, as I said before. But if I try opening openkore with Hotspot guess what, it doesn't work, the same problem on 2 is still there. So for short iRO client works only when hotspot shield is up, openkore doesn't work either way.
So after this I have these conclusions:
6- First and obvious conclusion I think is the problem is something related to my internet connection. Maybe the connection itself, or maybe something interfering with it, like anti-virus or some other program. I share my PC with 2 people so it's constantly being modified, added programs and removed old ones. I tried uninstalling everything i could, but the problem is still there. So for this my last hope would be a sudden modification which I was unaware of to my internet configuration, maybe security. Maybe a program decided to modify something on my PC and didn't warned me, maybe it did and someone other than me didn't paid atention and just clicked "OK". Also, when I first installed iRO on my PC (back on the days it worked fine) the client was completely up to date, I downloaded it from a torrent, the client was dated 2012-10. And then about 2 days ago it starts with the DC problem... right when the Kagerou/Oboro update came. BUT since i couldn't play on these past 3 days i can't be sure it's precisely related to the new update, maybe it's a coincidence, but anyways it's something to consider.
7- My second conclusion is that the problem isn't internet related, it's related to something ele on my computer, a configuration, a file... It's weird that as soon I install the client it asks to update, as if the game wasn't updated, and if I delete patch.inf it suddenly decides it is updated. But that's a wild guess, I dunno but i get the feeling it's something internet related. Or maybe both.

So, for short now: Any ideas anyone? What can I do to fix the Disconnecting from server issue and fix the openkore isue...?
Also, does openkore REQUIRES Ragnarok Client to run? Is it possible to run openkore without the client installed? Unlike other game bots that needs the client to be running I noticed openkore doesn't seem to open the client on my computer. I'm not a nerd though, my tech knowledge is pretty limited. Anyway, this last question is important because the answer will tell if th problem with openkore is related to the problem with iRO client (which then will be simple to solve, solve iRO and openkore will work again) or if it' not related to the iRO problem. And in case it is not related, I can try fixing openkore first and then keep botting (in case openkore does not require RO client installed) until I fix iRO, thus not wasting valuable bot time. Any ideas are appreciated, anything at all that might help.

for the last question, openkore (with XKore 0 or XKore 2) doesn't need ROClient to run.
