xkore failed to connect to server

I'm trying to run my game client while I bot using xkore 1. But everytime I get past character select, the login becomes unresponsive. Can someone direct me to a solution at all?

Trying to login to iRO yggdrasil... chaos server.

xKore 1 does not work, you must use xkore 2, http://openkore.com/index.php/XKore

I'm a bit of a noob though. When I changed the xkore value to 2, when I run start.exe, it does not give me the prompt to start my client. It simply logs into my character automatically and I cannot use my client with the bot.

Would someone care to shed some light on this?

EDIT: I just used grfbuilder to modify the client files and I have the client setup so I can select openkore proxy or iRO.

When I select openkore proxy, it seems to want a different set of log in details. Did I miss a step? =\

I tried using xkore 3 and I successfully log into the character server but it gets stuck at the map server and openkore just goes on a continuous loop of connecting.

Also I've been poking around a bit and noticed that many links are telling me I need to disable gameguard, which involves quite a bit of hex editing. Do I need to do this?

I'm not expecting a guide to hex editing, I find one myself. I'm just wondering if I have to go through the effort.
