How does Elecom Shield works?

#1 Post by iamanoob »

If the rules stated you can't bot, don't break the rules. By breaking the rules you are fuelling the endless war, and thus, giving birth to more software like this.

how does openkore respond to this kind of "shield"?

In the past the solution to this problem has always been to find a new server (:

HOW DARE YOU EVEN BRING THAT UP AS A POSSIBLE SOLUTION??
an interview with kali

You do know my response was a joke, yes? It's the usual reaction we get when we offer the suggestion noted by Barracks.

Yeah, we all know how I'd be if I were interviewed for Erok.
So I hear that Erok is tossing aside conventional server protections by supporting proxies and in game mail. Why would you deviate from OpenKore's ideals?

Fuck the servers. I'm here for the botters. Erok is a bot, not a bitch.

wth that's still alive?

I thought that experiment died a long time ago already.

But yeah, if a private server employs those kind of protections which are not generally available in all other servers, it's probably fruitless to continue. Simply because they have a secure solution that *works* and thus no exploits that can be exploited. Either play as the rules tell you to, or find another server which is "less" secure.

If i'll hear form more then 10k people that they can't use OK because of that Elecom Shield, it will be broken in no time.

P.S. I'm too lazy to break some 3rd party protection.

I heard servers pay the developer for that shield, so I'm guessing only specific servers have this installed.

How about if someone pays you to do it? :P After all, one can make a killing if he's the only bot in an otherwise unbottable server.

Forget about Payment. It's against the law here.
If I get payment to reversing, it's bad here. Other vice, it's good, if the goal is implementing open-source emulation.

Talk about outta the loop. I just committed 1,162 files to my SVN a couple days ago, and beat OpenKore to FLD2 support.

So see it as a donation for your hard work rather than for payment for a product :P
