Fix OpenKore yourself

#1 Post by Xeneth »

After maintenance, the server information changed. All you had to do is read the openkore wiki, but seeing as a lot of people didn't, and are insistent on leeching instead of taking 3 minutes to be resourceful, here's how to fix your bot.

Code: Select all

OpenKore>Tables>Servers (open in Word Pad)

Press CTRL+F and search Chaos, make sure it's International and not European.

1. version
18

2. IP
128.241.92.162

3. port
6800

4. master version
1
All the information as to how I did this is located HERE:
http://wiki.openkore.com/index.php/Connectivity_Guide

It took 3 minutes. Happy botting.

Or you could have just extracted the clientinfo.xml and read that the port changed.

And that there is some new thing called agency being used, which may cause problems down the track.

I'm not savvy what-so-ever, so I wouldn't have known about this clientinfo.xml stuff.
I just used common sense and the wiki to try to take care of it myself before I posted a thread about it.

Also the Version changed too, it was 16 and now it's 18.

What's agency and what's it going to do? O_o

Renewal version has been 18 for a while now ?

As for the agency thing, I don't know, there is apparently an "agency service" running on port 6950 on the login server, but it's not responding to me when I try and connect to it to see what happens.

I've been having a quick look at rAthena and eAthena's documentation, but I can't see any references to it there. I'll take a look at cronos and the other servers later I guess.

Oh, my bad, I must have had an old revision or something.

Let us know if you find out anything about that "agency" thing :)

I don't see a point in condescending the users who aren't as tech savvy or who don't speak English as a native language.
Maybe the OpenKore manual is harder for some to comprehend.

And if it only took 3 minutes don't sound so butthurt about it.
